I like the simplicity of the composition of this image and that the rays of sun add depth. Taken on my camera phone on a June evening, this picture was runner up in the AA Landscape Photographer of the Year, Take a View, phone view category in 2008.

The competition had more than 20,000 entries overall with around 150 images selected for inclusion in a hardback book and displayed at the National Theatre for 8 weeks.
